About the Role

As the Business Unit Lead (f/m/d), you own the strategic, operational, and financial success of AHEAD’s fast‑growing loyalty platform for workshops in the automotive aftermarket. You ensure that marketing, product, sales, and technology operate as a well‑aligned unit to drive customer value and maintain our ambitious growth trajectory.

Your mission: Shape Europe’s leading loyalty program, driving a long-term vision to welcome an extensive network of workshops onto our platform.

Responsibilities

Business & P&L Ownership

  • Full responsibility for the BU P&L: revenue, costs, marketing budget, profitability

  • Defining, monitoring, and achieving KPIs & OKRs (e.g., user growth, engagement, redemption, partner revenue)

  • Full ownership of business planning, strategy and forecasting with global stakeholders within complex environments

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Create, scale and own a global loyalty program and its structure and business model

  • Prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and make final BU decisions

  • Lead annual roadmap creation (product, marketing, integrations, rewards)

Operational Leadership

  • Run BU ceremonies (Jour Fixe, KPI reviews, sprint reviews)

  • Ensure smooth collaboration across Marketing, Product, Data/Tech, Sales, and external agencies

  • Oversee operational processes and execution for marketing campaigns, partner operations, marketplace & reward systems

Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage external partners, vendors, and service providers (especially loyalty program operators)

  • Ensure transparent communication with managing directors and key internal stakeholders

Market & Product Development

  • Monitor automotive aftermarket trends

  • Identify new loyalty mechanics, reward structures, or partnership opportunities

  • Lead future loyalty program redesign/development (planned for next year)

Job requirements

Requirements

Must‑have

  • 5–6+ years in business leadership, strategy, consulting, loyalty, or marketplace operations

  • Strong experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance

  • Experience with loyalty programs (automotive aftermarket = strong plus)

  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external vendors

  • Strong analytical mindset; KPI/OKR ownership

  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills

  • German C1, English fluent

  • Based in Berlin/Hamburg or willing to be hybrid

Nice‑to‑have

  • Automotive aftermarket expertise

  • Experience scaling B2B platforms

  • Experience in management consulting
