Expeerly:
We are a video review platform that enables leading consumer brands such as Sony, Acer
and Samsung to generate and distribute authentic product reviews at scale. Through our
vetted reviewer community, we source authentic video content that is distributed across
retailer channels, syndication networks and social media.
After three years of building, Expeerly has a proven product, a strong customer base and is a
profitable business approaching CHF 1M in annual revenue, with strong foundations in
place to scale further. The role of Chief Operating Officer ( commercial focus ) - (all genders) is an excellent opportunity.
Tasks, scope and span of responsibilities:
The core business is in place and working. We are looking for a commercially-driven COO to
take full ownership of running and scaling the company. This is a high-impact role where
you divide your focus equally between leadership and direct execution:
Direct Account Management (50%): You will personally own and manage our key
customer relationships. This isn't just oversight; you are the primary point of contact
for our brands, responsible for ensuring their success, driving renewals and
extensions, and identifying upsell opportunities.
Operational Leadership (50%): You will lead all operational and commercial areas,
including marketing, reviewer operations, and finance. This includes managing a
team of two FTEs and several contractors, setting priorities, and ensuring the
company executes effectively.
You will work closely with the CEO (who focuses on retail partnerships and strategy) and the
CPO (who leads product and tech). As COO, you oversee all business functions except for
those led by the CPO and specific CEO-led strategic initiatives.
You are responsible for the overall performance of the business and own the day to day operations of Expeerly.
Full ownership of P&L and business performance
Manage and lead all business functions such as: Finance and accounting, Sales, account management and customer success, marketing and operations
Scale Expeerly to CHF 5M in recurring revenue over the coming years while maintaining profitability
Build the team, systems and automations needed to scale efficiently with a small,
high-performing team, focusing on making things work reliably rather than reinventing the wheel
Ensure Expeerly remains a great place to work, with a motivated team and strong culture
Maintain and build retention and expansion across our brand portfolio by directly managing customer relationships and driving increasing investment over time.
Strengthen Expeerly’s brand and position as a leading, authentic and scalable video review platform for brands, retailers and reviewers
Job requirements
Requirements and your profile:
Experience in a similar function with a background in commercial roles or account management in an B2B industry
You have worked in the retail industry or in the consumer goods sector
First leadership experience of a team, you know how to structure and enable teams
You have set up processes and were involved in rolling them out to different teams
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Applied experience scaling a business up to 10m and taking responsibility for overall performance, not just a single function
You have used AI tools either in production or to prototype or automate processes
We are a small but strong team: You need to be hands on and understand the need for getting work done and not to strategize and plan endlessly
The ability to create trust, set clear priorities and lead a motivated team
Native level of German language and professional fluency in English
You are able to be at the Zurich office twice a week
